Commercial Gym Repairs and servicing

Amazon Leisure (UK) Ltd has a network of experienced service engineers covering the majority of Great Britain. These engineers can come and visit your site to conduct one-off repairs, carry out a single service on your gym equipment or visit regularly as part of a planned service contract.

Fitness equipment service contracts

Regular service and maintenance of your commercial gym and fitness equipment is extremely important. A service contract will ensure your gym equipment stays in good working order, keeping your customers safe.

Inspections, lubrication, calibration and regular maintenance will limit the need for repairs and save your gym money.

Think of it in terms of looking after your car. Changing the oil and filters, keeping the tyres inflated and replaced when the treads wear down keeps your vehicles safe and reduces the risk of bigger bills further down the line.

It’s the same with gym gear. For each piece of equipment there will be a recommended maintenance schedule which should be adhered to from the day your equipment arrives to keep it in top working order.

Customers who have a planned service contract will receive a visit from our engineers to their facility regularly at agreed intervals which can be annually, biannually or quarterly. All of these service visits will be arranged in advance with the customer.

Reasons to keep your fitness equipment maintained

  • Reduces the risk of your kit being “out of order” and unavailable – this can be frustrating for your customers
  • Prolongs the life of your equipment, reducing waste and costs
  • Minimises overall maintenance costs
  • Improves customer safety and helps you remain compliant. You are responsible for the safety of the customers in your gym. British Standard 1892 Part 1: 1986 states that ‘it is important that all physical education apparatus is maintained in a first class, fully safe condition’
  • Peace of mind to you, your customers and your staff
  • Limits your liability
  • Well maintained equipment keeps clients coming back, with lower membership drop-off

Our service contract reports

During each contracted maintenance visit, all of the equipment that is covered by the service contract will be inspected for safety, cleaned thoroughly both inside and out, lubricated and adjusted according to the procedures laid out by the manufacturer.

We will supply you with a Service Report that will break down any faults found into three categories (Red – required, Amber – advisory and Green – cosmetic). The cost of parts and labour for carrying out any repairs will be detailed so you can specific the remedial work you’d like us to carry out.

We will order parts and will give your gym the opportunity to prepare for the repairs at a time that will minimise the down-time in your club.

The charge for each service contract visit will be invoiced in advance unless payment terms have been agreed.

Use of parts

Parts used will be charged separately and where possible, to minimise costs, Amazon Leisure reserves the right to use certified reconditioned parts. Where new parts are required/requested these may be subject to delivery lead times from Original Equipment Manufacturer. As such any delays incurred due to waiting for purchased items will not be the fault or responsibility of Amazon Leisure. Every effort will be made to keep you informed as to expected timescales.
